Mr. James Serugo
"Jimmy” is a Board Member for Amani Partners in Kampala, Uganda. He brings a wealth of experience and expansive business networks in the Uganda market.
He currently serves as a Board member of the Monitor Publications (subsidiary of Nation Media, Kenya) and has his own book publishing firm called Net Media Publishers. Among his current activities includes being the co-Founder of the CEO Summit Uganda which prepares the next generation of leadership for corporates in Uganda. As well, he is the Founder of the League of East African Directors (LEAD) which brings together local talent to share best practices and learn from each other.
Prior to Amani Partners, Jimmy was the Business Director of The Monitor Publications where he managed the financial, commercial and production aspects of the business. During his tenure, he spearheaded the divestiture of the company to bring in a strategic investor, the Nation Media Group, in 2002. Jimmy has co–authored several books on entrepreneurship and the dangers of HIV/ AIDS and also mentored the Youth. He is an executive coach by trade.
