Dr. James Okello Onyoin
James is a Public Financial Management (PFM) Expert with over 20 years experience in International Development. He is a Board Member for Eskom Uganda and Senior Partner at Jim Roberts Certified Public Accountants. James is a Trustee for the CEO Summit Uganda and previously held senior management positions at the Tropical Bank, Uganda Revenue Authority, Ernst & Young, KPMG and Price water house Coopers (PwC).
James has extensive hands-on experience in consulting, training, capacity building, mentoring, executive coaching, change management, project management and implementation of Public Sector Reforms and Integrated Financial Management Information Systems. He is a member of the Pool of Experts for the IMF, World Bank, UNDP, and the African Development Bank. James has conducted various consultancy assignments for a number of bilateral and multilateral institutions, international development agencies, and the Governments of Uganda, Kenya, The Gambia, Liberia, Tanzania (including Zanzibar), Ethiopia, Sudan, Lesotho and South Sudan.
James is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) UK. He holds an MBA of Oxford Brookes University UK, and a B.Com degree of Makerere University Kampala. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Income Tax Administration (DITA) from the Uganda Management Institute. James is a Rotarian and a Paul Harris Fellow.
